Natural Northern Quebec (2)

Hi all,

Well, day 2 in Quebec has proved an interesting experience. The abundance of wildlife allows many trips for "getting back to nature". Hunting is one of the sports that the locals participate in and considering the beautiful natural environment, it would be an amazing experience.

The beautiful tundra covers the whole area which I am staying, although it is remote. As you know, I am in Quebec, but did you know that the capital city is called Quebec too? I hope to journey there in a week, after visiting Montreal which is the largest city in Quebec, Quebec(the city)is the 2ND largest. It is 233km away from Montreal. Many of the population of Quebec speak French as their 1st or 2ND language-so I've had to brush up on my French!!!

From what I've heard of Quebec (city), the architecture is the most divine pieces are located near the "Place Royal" and has a quite distinct European feel to it. Another feature I have been recommended to view are the "Escalier casse cou" which translates to "break-neck steps" which lead from the upper part of the city to the lower. Apparently the most noticable building though is the Chateau Frontenac which towers above the other buildings.

As always I've included some pictures to give you a better look at my destination, these were sent to me by my friend who has already been to Quebec the city.

Natural Northern Quebec

Hello fellow bloggers!!!

Well, after an EXHAUSTING flight to Canada, I am finally here, here as in Northern Quebec. There has been little change since Japan as both are extremely chilly. The rolling tundra of this environment is evident even after being just one day here. 24% of Quebec is covered by it!!!!!

I will continue to scout around and find out more about the traditions here and report back tomorrow. Until then here's a picture to get you thinking... look, there's me!!!

Magnificent Mt Fuji!!!

Hi!!!

It's Alice and my amazing global trek starts HERE!!!! I am right now in Japan at the humungous mountain, Fuji. It is 3776m tall!!! It's gigauntuan size makes it stand out against the beautiful spring atmosphere. Being summer, flowers everywhere are in full bloom. The Japanese regard the the active volcano so much that they call it Fujisan out of respect.

The atmosphere on top of the mountain, after an exhausting trek, is triumphant as hoards of tourists and locals alike gaze down at the landscapes stretched out like a map below. Being so far up of course, the air is chilly but the snow has generally melted. A life changing view.

Global Environments

Hi, my name is Alice and I'm about to take a trip to places all around the world. It's so exciting, I have just won the lottery!!!! Being now the owner of a fortune, I can go wherever I want by private jet - which means I can zigzag across the globe at will!! I'm so glad that you've decided to follow my blog and I hope that you will get as much out of it as I will.

So, here's my agenda; first up, the rocky mountain environment of Fuji. Next, the chilly tundra environment of Northern Quebec in Canada. After that, a warm change as I head to the grassy Savannah in Africa. Next, the rain forest in Costa Rica in South America. After that, I travel to the cold in Alaska followed by the extreme change of going to the extreme heat of the Sahara. Finally I am going to finish up with the wetlands in top of Canada.

Happy reading please comment on my travels!!
